CDL Driver-local deliveries
UnityPoint Health Peoria Region: This position is located in our East Peoria Receiving/Distribution Center.
Full-time; Benefitted
Monday-Friday, 6:30am-3:00pm

Candidates MUST have at least 1-2 years in supply chain distribution and hold a valid driver’s license with endorsements (E.g. CDL Class C where appropriate) as required to meet requirements for vehicles used in delivery operations.

As a member of an inter-disciplinary Supply Chain team, a Receiver performs receiving tasks within the ERP system. This includes administrative tasks related to inspection, receiving, and distribution of inbound and outbound shipments. The position is responsible for communicating discrepancies in shipments with the Central Procurement department. The position is responsible for processing returns in conjunction with the Buyer. The position assists with Inventory Control functions related to receipts for inventory items.

Responsibilities:

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

Receiving / Delivery

  • Completes efficient and timely unloading of shipments from freight carrier through use of pallet jack, hand truck, or flatbed
  • Inspects packages for damages
  • Verifies product shipment to packing slip
  • Documents receipt of product in Lawson ERP system appropriately and accurately
  • Identifies and communicates with Central Procurement discrepancies in shipments
  • Files packing slips and receiving records
  • Completes deliver of packages to correct location per Purchase Order
  • Processes vendor returns in the ERP system and for the outbound freight carrier to process
  • Delivers supplies and/or equipment to other facilities/clinics within the region

  • Is knowledgeable of hospital and department compliance requirements for federally funded healthcare programs (e.g. Medicare and Medicaid) regarding fraud, waste and abuse. Brings any questions or concerns regarding compliance to the immediate attention of hospital administrative staff. Takes appropriate action on concerns reported by department staff related to compliance.

Education:


High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

Some College courses


Experience:


1-2 years in supply chain distribution


Health care supply chain experience


Proficient with business tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook


License(s)/Certification(s):


  • Valid driver’s license with endorsements (E.g. CDL Class C where appropriate) as required to meet requirements for vehicles used in delivery operations.
  • Motor Vehicle Registration (MVR) must be run annually.


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:


  • Must be self-directed and assume responsibility for timely completion of job responsibilities
  • Must possess strong Customer Service skills
  • Must possess skills related to projection coordination and critical thinking
  • Must have strong safety background


Other:


  • Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
  • Work may occasionally require travel to other UPH facilities/hospitals.
  • Required to drive your own vehicle for business purposes.
