The Central Regional Sales Manager is a key revenue generating role at South-Tek. The seller will be responsible for generating profitable revenue and new business. This would include the following states. ND, SD, NE, KS, MN, IA, MO, WI, IL, MI, IN, and OH. The Central RSM will achieve this by engaging South-Tek’s distribution network, commercial contractors, and OEM customers. In addition, the Central Region Sales Manager will grow key accounts through cross-selling and new business development activities.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support and push sales strategies targeted to penetrate key regional accounts. Accountable for coordinating the implementation of account strategies across all regions and sales teams.
  • Execute, follow up and measure an aggressive sales territory plan which mixes sales calls with engineers, contractors, and distributors, South-Tek’s specifications program and CEU training course, and large end user strategy. In addition, maintain a schedule of regular calls to distributors and, in conjunction with distributors, to key customers in assigned region.
  • Cultivate and drive the execution of the regional sales strategy for nitrogen generators to the fire protection market by managing, maintaining, and providing indirect sales leadership support to assigned distributors and contractors. Accountable for sales (revenue) results and profitability in assigned region for new and existing business.
  • Provide field sales and technical product training for distributors and contractors. Also, assist distribution network in identifying and closing key account sales opportunities.
  • Engaging with distributors and South-Tek Systems leadership to develop key account programs and new business development strategies for the Central region. Provide sales leadership, cross-selling strategies and administrative oversight for large key accounts.
  • In conjunction with the Market Segment Leader and key distributors, participate in identifying new product needs, pricing, and market forecasting. Also, develop sales programs to increase market share and capitalize on prospective sales opportunities with the distribution network.
  • Analyze, develop, and prioritize sales opportunities within the Central region and implement a sales plan to drive results through the distribution network.
  • Attend trade shows and sales leadership meetings to provide industry expertise to clients, distributors, and South-Tek Systems team members.
  • Develop and execute sales presentations on new and existing products. Work with marketing team on product education opportunities.
  • Manage sales activities, sales analytics, and sales reports within assigned region.

EDUCATION

A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 2-4 years sales experience in the Sprinkler and Fire protection industry or similar trades serving commercial construction and OEM markets. A strong sales experience selling through Distributors or Manufacturer Representatives. Working knowledge of the Industrial Generator markets related to nitrogen, gas, products, markets, and applications of related products.
  • A proven track record of successfully growing established businesses, new business development and achieving (or exceeding) sales plan. Also, must have key account management and executive level selling skills.
  • Ability to think strategically in managing a large region and distribution organization. Also, must have a demonstrated ability to develop a regional sales strategy and consistently increase sales and profitability.
  • A high degree of business acumen, strong analytics, and good computer skills are required. This position requires hands-on execution as well as the ability to lead and work with others in a team environment.
  • This role also requires an individual who is highly self-motivated, competitive, and aggressive in the development of strategies and business plans to pursue market opportunities.
  • Must be able to accommodate approximately 40% of travel.
