Job Summary
Processes and distributes donated goods to meet quality standards and production schedules.
Essential Job Duties
Grades donated goods according to quality specifications, sorts into appropriate bins and assign price.
Determines season of product; places off-season product in seasonal bins
Sorts donated goods for quality; determines proper disposition for sale, salvage, or trash
Maintains clean and organized work area; assists with trash and salvage removal
Participates in required training
Effectively manages time to ensure that work is completed work
Maintains quality control in processing donated goods
Monitors and recognizes security, loss prevention and safety risks and assists in their prevention
Contributes to team success by involving others in work processes, decisions and actions
Stays abreast of position-related knowledge including brand names
Ensures that the customers perspective is a driving force behind customer satisfaction
Seeks to understand the customer's circumstances, problems, expectations and needs
Identifies internal and external customer service issues and creates solutions
Builds customer awareness around our mission
Identifies and corrects conditions that affect employee and customer safety
Complies with safety standards

Physical Requirements
- Requires ability to lift or move up to fifty (50) pounds of clothing and housewares safely on and off retail shelving fixtures up to ten (10) feet high, clothing racks four (4) feet high, and z-racks six (6) feet high
- Requires ability to push and pulls z-rack holding up to one-hundred (100) pieces of clothing and weighing a minimum of 150 pounds
- Requires ability to bend and reach into gaylords five (5) feet high to remove donated items
- Requires manual dexterity to fasten and unfasten buttons; snaps and zippers; computer keyboard and tagging guns. Stands for long periods throughout the day
- Requires ability to perform a combination of tasks for extended periods such as stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, lifting, reaching, carrying, pushing or pulling objects to sort and hang clothing, and place housewares on shelves and racks
- Requires visual acuity to evaluate donated items for quality
- Requires ability to identify smells to evaluate donations for undesirable odors - mold, must, dust, bodily fluids and urine
- Requires tactile ability in order to evaluate quality of clothing (e.g. pilling, damp/wet)
- Environmental Conditions
- Requires ability to work in a light industrial/warehouse environment with exposure to heat and cold
- Subject to exposure to allergens including dirt, dust, mold, metals, rubber, plastics, latex, and pet hair
Tools and Equipment
Computer, Zebra Printer, wheeled spring carts, wheeled deep carts, wheeled z-racks, totes, gaylords, handheld pricing machine, handheld tagging machine, pallets, pallet jacks, essential retail equipment, personal protective equipment, hand trucks, furniture dollies, four- wheel metal/plastic cages, material lifts, furniture dollies and bushel carts.

- Requires ability to complete assigned daily production goals consistently following production goal agreement
- Requires ability to be consistently at work and on time on scheduled workdays
- Requires ability to follow LLGI policies and procedures
- Requires ability to maintain confidentiality of information related to LLGI operations, financial matters and personnel matters
- Requires ability to interact with people with disabilities in a manner that enhances their dignity, privacy and confidentiality
