PURPOSE
The Centralized Services team delivers value to Community IT clients by supporting the deployment, management and maintenance of a common set of technology solutions that create customer-wide standardization through scalability, automation, and proactive/predictive capabilities. The ongoing development and management of these systems, and the supervision and leadership of the team responsible for these systems, is essential to the success of the company.
The Centralized Services Mac Administrator’s primary responsibility is being the internal Mac expert and champion at Community IT through supporting the dedicated macOS Management systemThis position will also assist in the development of the platform through the use of scripting to automate tasks and reporting to provide meaningful business insights to other internal team members. Additional responsibilities include limited client facing consulting related to mac management, and collaborating on the overall centralized management systems to deliver a unified client experience.
The Centralized Services Mac Administrator delivers value to Community IT clients by supporting the deployment, management and maintenance of IT systems that create customer wide standardization through scalability, allow for automation of processes, and provide proactive/predictive capabilities through meaningful and relevant alerting and event management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Technical
1) Provide expert level macOS operational support for the Centralized Services systems
o Day to day administration and management of of macOS and iOS device management and monitoring services
o Manage software deployments through MDM Platform
o Follow established processes and procedures
o Monitor the platform and service boards
o Provide interactive support with clients to resolve issues with management agents.
o Monitor and remediate failed patching on MDM enrolled devices
2) Provide expert level support to internal staff on a range of technology solutions including:
o macOS computers
o Managed Backup
o Managed Antivirus
o EndPoint Management, patching policies, reporting, etc
o SNMP monitoring
3) Continually improve the centralized platforms
o Update and develop BASH and Python scripting for Addigy and JAMF macOS device management platforms
o Update and develop SQL queries to support reporting services
4) Provide effective reporting and information about our managed networks to the service desk and IT Business managers

1) Communicate and collaborate effectively with other teams
o Assist with training and teaching the system
o Gather feedback
o Assist with client issues as needed
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
This position requires a 2 years of relevant job experience. Additionally, industry standard certifications such as JAMF or Apple Deployment and Management certifications are preferred.
- Experience with remote monitoring and management software such as Addigy, JAMF, Kandji, Mosyle, or Apple Business Essentials
- Expert macOS and iOS support experience
- Experience with Python, shell or BASH scripting preferred
- Ability to write basic SQL queries
- Able to work independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong sense of ownership
