Are you passionate about providing care for individuals with developmental disabilities? We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Medication Aide/CNA to join our team on a contract basis in Axtell, NE.

As a Certified Medication Aide/CNA, you will be responsible for training and assisting individuals served in various aspects of activities of daily living while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures. You will also provide emotional support and ensure the health and safety of the individuals being served.

Responsibilities:

Provide training in accordance with the written program plan, covering all aspects of the individuals' life as assigned and in compliance with company policy and procedure
Monitor the comfort and safety of individuals served, while ensuring that the medical, nutritional and personal care needs are being met
Attend and participate in the team program plan meetings as assigned and regularly communicate each person's progress with team members, supervisors, parents and/or guardians, as appropriate
Assist each person served with general housekeeping, meal preparation and laundry duties
Provide appropriate leisure time activities

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Minimum of three months of experience in a related field
Certified Medication Aide Cert (NE)
Certified Nursing Assistant CNA (NE)
Ability to communicate effectively in a courteous and professional manner
Ability to teach individuals with developmental disabilities
Ability to read documents and written instructions
Ability to write and maintain accurate records
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to stoop, kneel and lift to complete assigned tasks
Ability to use the telephone
Ability to maintain a patient and positive attitude
Ability to drive

Physical Requirements:

Work requires frequent physical activity including extended periods of standing, walking, and bending with occasional periods of sitting, kneeling, climbing, stooping, crouching, squatting and balancing
Work also requires constant reaching between knee and shoulder level as well as frequent reaching below knee level and overhead
Work requires occasional independent lifting up to 25 pounds, frequent push/pull up to 40 pounds of force and the ability to safely transfer 50 pounds.
