Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

In this role as Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant you will:
  • Carry out treatments instructed by the occupational therapist
  • Detect signs and symptoms of favorable and unfavorable reactions
  • Record and keep current treatment schedules
  • Ensure timeliness of paperwork
  • Consistently perform at the required productivity level
  • Accurately and regularly record all pertinent information regarding the occupational therapy treatment program.

Qualifications:
  • Must have an Associate degree in Occupational Therapy and completion of an Occupational Therapy Assistant course approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association
  • Hold and maintain current license as an Occupational Therapy Assistant by the state where our facility is located (FL, IL or MO). License must be in good standing
  • One year of experience in a skilled nursing facility is desired
  • Able to relate positively, favorably and motivate patients and families and work cooperative with others
  • Be observant and accurate in recognizing and documenting patient change
  • Knowledge of principals involved in applying standard therapeutic procedures and a broad range of adaptive devices
  • We are a vaccinated care facility. New hires will need to provide proof of vaccination or other acceptable documents prior to starting employment
