Pinnacle Behavioral Health has opened a new Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) in Huntsville, AL for Adolescents with co-occurring substance abuse and mental health issues. We are seeking a full time Certified Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team. The Certified Substance Abuse Counselor will be responsible for providing leadership and expertise in the subject area of substance use and substance abuse disorders as part of our interdisciplinary treatment team. Job responsibilities include staff training, program development, assessment, treatment planning, therapy services (group, individual, and family), documentation, case management, and aftercare planning.
Qualifications: Must hold a state certification in substance abuse (CSAC) or equivalent certification and experience working with individuals with substance use disorders. Must be experienced in providing individual and group counseling in addition to working successfully as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team.
Key Responsibilities: Include assessment, treatment planning, documentation of progress in treatment, case management, and coordination of treatment with other entities, transition, discharge and aftercare planning.
