Veterinary Dental Services is an independently owned, private, specialty practice located near routes 2 and 495, just 30 miles west of Boston, in the beautiful town of Boxborough, Massachusetts. We provide dentistry and oral surgery to cats and dogs from all over New England. Our new 5,200 sq. ft. facility is fully equipped for dentistry and oral surgery featuring: digital dental radiography, four dental tables, a sterile surgical suite, in-house laboratory, separate canine and feline wards, Cone Beam CT and a conference room.

Employees are eligible for benefits after a 90-day probationary period and these include: paid time off, uniforms, pet care discounts, paid holidays and health insurance. VDS pays 80% of the monthly health insurance premium and employees may choose from one of two plans. Additional employee funded group insurances such as short-term disability, long-term disability, life insurance, vision and dental are also available after 90 days. Additional benefits available after one year include a very generous continuing education allowance, Safe harbor 401k with a 3% employer contribution and profit sharing.

We are looking for an anesthesia technician. The ideal candidate would be an excellent communicator, a team player, friendly, reliable and have a sense of humor. This position requires high attention to detail, basic math skills and the ability to lift 40lbs on your own. As an anesthesia technician you would be monitoring anesthesia on our anesthetized patients and helping during the pre- and post-op periods. This position is a client facing position but the majority of your time will be spent in surgery. Prior experience with anesthesia monitoring is required. There is room for growth at VDS as we encourage and support those CVTs that desire to obtain to their specialty license in dentistry or anesthesia. This position is only open to technicians that are credentialed or eligible to take the Veterinary Technician National Exam.

Salary is competitive and will be based on experience. This is a full-time position with a four day work week and the opportunity for overtime, no weekends necessary. We will also consider applicants looking for part-time employment.
