Tasks in detail:
- Pre-sales Technical Support: collaborate with the Business Development Manager and product sales teams to introduce Hexagon’s CFD software and demonstrate the value to prospective customers. This will include determining customer needs, developing software solution specifications, product demonstrations and conducting benchmark or proof-of-concept projects.
- Product Training: serve as instructor for scheduled and custom training programs for new users.
- Product Marketing: participate in field marketing activities, not limited to delivering webinars, conference presentations and representing Hexagon at trade shows.
- Post-sales Technical Support: provide answers to customer queries by developing deep knowledge of the software functions and partnering with Hexagon’s global product development and engineering team.
- Service Projects: conduct engineering and simulation service projects using Hexagon’s CFD software as needed.
- Keep up to date on latest software enhancements and test new functions.
- Research latest industry, competitor product developments and customer needs, share knowledge and make enhancement requests to Hexagon’s product development team.
Requirements:
- M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Chemical Engineering
- 2 to 5 years of industry experience performing fluid flow and heat transfer analysis using commercial CFD software (preferably Fluent, Star-CCM+, PowerFlow, Flowtherm or FlowEFD.
- Experience using CFD and other CAE software to analyze and improve designs in a consulting or R&D organization.
- Experience in an Application Engineer, Consulting Engineer, or Technical Support Engineer role at an CAE software provider
- Fluent English, both written and spoken
