PSC Group is seeking a Warehouse Helper to join our team at one of the largest petrochemical plants located in Plaquemine, LA This position works with plastic pellets on an automated product packaging line and is responsible for the safe and efficient housekeeping/maintenance of the warehouse and the equipment. This is an entry level position perfect for those individuals looking to start a career in the industrial warehouse industry. Work Schedule: 12 hour rotating shifts on a 4-1-2 schedule (days/nights/weekends/holidays)

Pay Range: $18.00 - $24.00

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • A large part of time is spent sweeping up pellets, which fall to the floor as a result of the packaging process.
  • Blow out pellets from equipment that is not in service.
  • Shoveling/vacuuming up pellets into boxes to keep the floor clean.
  • Build boxes and box tops by hand to use when reclaiming pellets that have fallen to the ground.
  • Responsible for stacking boxes onto pallets which are loaded on trucks via forklift.
  • Wipe down and dust equipment that is out of service to help maintain equipment and keep dust down.
  • Remove waste from the warehouse and keep up with segregating waste.
  • Operate industrial floor sweeper to keep area clean.
  • Must eventually be certified to operate a forklift.
  • Completes any other duties that may be assigned to complete the job.
Job Qualifications:
  • Must be able to follow OSHA safety standards and be safety conscious at all times
  • Must possess a valid TWIC card and driver's license
  • Forklift experience a plus, but not required.
  • 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
  • Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
  • PSC is a veteran-friendly company. Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.

Physical Requirements: You must be able to:
  • Speak, write, read fluent English. Hear and have good vision.
  • Regular on-site attendance and punctuality is required
  • Work outside in environmental conditions which at times include extreme heat or extreme cold
  • Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) without restriction and pass any medical examination associated with the use of PPE
  • Lift 60 pounds floor to waist
  • Push and pull 30 pounds horizontally
  • Carry 20 pounds while walking
  • Climb stairs and ladders
  • Stand 8-12 hours per day
  • Extend arms through normal range of motion while standing and squatting
