Job description

The Child Care Worker will provide direct supervision and services to adolescent males in a small residential setting serving adjudicated youth in Suffolk County. The Child Care Worker will ensure the safety of each resident by overseeing daily activities and routines, utilizing crisis intervention techniques, and appropriately applying the behavior modification system. The Child Care Worker is responsible for maintaining the daily log book, completing incident reports, and additional paperwork as needed. Therapeutic Crisis Intervention training is required and will be provided to new staff members.

This position is PER DIEM

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Human Services, Social Work, or related field)
Valid NYS Driver’s License
Evening Availability
Must be patient and even tempered
Must be invested in helping others
Must be dependable and punctual

Preferred:

Flexible schedule, Evening Availability, Weekend Availability, Experience with adolescents
