Coordinator (part time)

The coordinator’s overall responsibility is to provide coordination, facilitation, outreach and administrative support to CHNA 6, its members and its Steering Committee. The Coordinator oversees and administers the grant guidelines andaward processes in keeping with priorities of CHNA 6’s Community Health Improvement Plan.

Job Description:

With guidance and support from the CHNA 6 Steering Committee, and under the supervision of the CHNA 6 chair, theCoordinator’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

➢ Meeting Coordination and Facilitation:

  • Plan and attend all CHNA 6 general meetings (virtual and in-person); prepare meeting agendas and related documents, secure meeting locations, panelists, guest speakers, refreshments, etc.; record-keeping; and conduct any meeting follow-up
  • Plan, attend and take minutes for all Steering Committee meetings
  • Assist Steering Committee in reviewing, updating and implementing the Greater Milford Community Health Improvement Plan

➢ Grants Management:

  • Administer and coordinate grant guidelines, grant review committee process and grantee reporting process
  • Provide technical support to CHNA 6 applicants and grantees

➢ General Administration:

  • Maintain the CHNA 6 grant system and the website,Submittable or other designated grant website
  • Develop and executive media, marketing, and outreach efforts
  • Respond to general requests for information by members and the public
  • Coordinating timely processing the payment of all invoices and fees with the chair and treasurer to ensure payment all invoices, bills, and grant payments
  • Maintenance of CHNA 6’s webpage on IONOS or relevant web server

Qualifications:

CHNA 6 is seeking a creative self-starter with good interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will possess the following:

➢ A passion for helping communities improve the health of all their residents and commitment to health equity

➢ Ability to balance multiple projects and establish priorities

➢ Proficiency in oral and written communication

➢ Provide support to grantees during the grant submission process

➢ Strong organizational and technology skills

➢ Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

➢ A sense of humor and grace

➢ Knowledge of the Greater Milford community

➢ Minimum of three years of experience in the field of health, social services, or a related field

➢ Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Compensation:

The Coordinator is an independent contractor. The compensation is $770 per month and it is expected the hourly commitment is 10-20 hours per week, depending on the month.

Greater Milford Community Health Network (CHNA 6) is one of27 Community Health Network Areas (CHNAs) across Massachusetts. We serve the 13 communities of: Bellingham, Blackstone, Douglas, Franklin, Hopedale, Medway, Mendon, Milford, Millville, Northbridge, Sutton, Upton and Uxbridge. CHNA 6 is a partnership with the Massachusetts Department ofPublic Health, the Milford Regional Medical Center, local service agencies, schools, businesses, Boards of Health, community health centers and other health organizations, as well as other concerned citizens who are working together to build healthier communities.
