Geopros, Inc. is seeking Civil/Geotechnical Engineers with experience in civil, geotechnical, or water resources for their offices in Elko (NV), Salt Lake City (UT), and Lakewood (CO). Our client is seeking Staff (1-5 years experience), Project (5-10 years experience), and Senior (10+ years experience) to assist a domestic and international engineering consulting firm focused on geotechnical, water resources, civil, environmental, and geohazards.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Use of AutoCAD Civil3D to design structures that include- damns, diversion channels, and heap leach pads
- Developing field investigations and lab testing
- Evaluating lab data to create designs
- Performing engineering analyses that include- seepage analyses, deformation, bearing capacities
- Conduct grading tasks for pond, pipeline, and drainage designs
- Prepare drawings that include multiple views, detailed drawings, and assembly drawings
- Use mathematical formulas to draw land contours or compute dimensions
- Work from sketches, models, and verbal info
Qualifications, Technical Skills, & Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Civil/Geotechnical/Water Resource Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) License not required, but preferred
- Experience using AutoCAD or AutoCAD Civil3D or other drafting software
- Experience using ArcGIS not required, but preferred
- Experience providing construction observation or testing services for mining-related civil construction projects is preferred but not required
- Experience completing grading plans as well as hydraulic and hydrologic design if preferred
- Must possess a valid Drivers License
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical screening and criminal background check
