Knitter – Warp Knit Textile Manufacturing - will train on 1st shift then move to 2nd or 3rd shift.

We are seeking a DNB Knitter to join us in our Textile Mill in Graham. The environment is fast-paced, and you ll be working with a team of dedicated knitting professionals to help you take your textile career to the next level!
Knitters are responsible for repairing holes in the fabric concerning double needle bar machines, accurately filling out production cards and tickets with correct information regarding the rolls of fabric. Must monitor the machines, making sure low warps do not run out into the machine.
More specifically, the Knitter will:

• Fix defects on all bars concerning Double Needle Bar knitting machines.
• Correctly cut collars/ringers off beams.
• Account for your knitting hook/tools, and monitor fabric for foreign objects after each repair to fabric.
• Accurately fill out production cards and tickets with the correct information.
• Monitor machines for low warps and off-size beams.
• Recognize quality problems to minimize machine downtime.
• Prepare finished roll for doffing.
• Startup knitting machine after doffing.
• Patrol knitting machine.
• Assist in maintaining housekeeping throughout the knitting room.

Requirements:
The Knitter will have previous experience working in Textiles; knowledge of different fabric requirements; proven eye to hand coordination; and effective verbal and written communication skills.
Additional Requirements:

• Ability to handle yarn delicately.
• Work well with others and independently.
• Must be able to stand/walk on their feet for 8 hours a day.
