The Role
Pollock Orora is seeking an experienced OTR Class A Driver to join our dynamic team. This role will be responsible for the safe operation of the transportation of products from and to various distribution centers, vendors and customers
This position will report to the: Transportation and Fleet Manager

What You’ll be Responsible For in this Role
Starting pay is .52 per mile / Miles per week are averaging between 2700-3000 - DOE
With a 20-22 dollar per hour detention and breakdown pay and 20-22 dollars per stop pay.
Run lanes originating: DFW going to California (Once a week), Kansas City (Once a week), Arkansas multiple times per week, Georgia (Once a week), New Jersey (Once a month). Home every weekend and usually several nights per week.

- Drives trucks to various destinations approx.
- Maintain physical security of cargo to prevent shifting and damage; ensuring safety is your number one priority
- Daily inspection of delivery equipment as required by law
Pickup/Delivery
- Maintains phone contact with supervisor and/or dispatch to receive pick-up and delivery instructions
- Prepares receipts and collects payment for good delivered and for delivery charges when required
- 99 percent no touch freight
- Picks up product at customers and suppliers, checks delivered product and quantities for accuracy
- Has inspection authority to release product prior to delivery
What We’re Looking For
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- Minimum of 2 years’ OTR required
- Class A license required
- Acceptable DMV report
Additional Required Qualifications:
- No automatic endorsements
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write short correspondence
- The ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units and measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals as well as algebraic formulas
Preferred Qualifications:
- Forklift certified preferred but not required
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Lifting - Raising or lowering an object from one level to another (includes upward pulling).
- Carrying - Transporting an object, usually holding it in the hands, or arms, or on the shoulder.
- Sitting - Remaining in a normal seated position while driving from and to locations
- Stooping - Bending the body downward and forward by bending the spine at the waist.
- Handling - Seizing, holding, grasping, turning or otherwise working with the hand or hands
