Job Title: Clinical Allergy Specialist (EMT/LPN)

Requires: Travel within Albuquerque

Overview/Job Purpose

At Duke City Primary Care, the Clinical Allergy Specialist will work directly with the Clinical Allergy Manager on all aspects of the allergy program. The individual will perform specialized skin tests to diagnose allergies, prepare patients’ treatment regimens, explain insurance coverage and benefits for allergy testing and treatment, provide patient education, and perform any other duties as assigned.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Deliver an incredible patient experience with safe and efficacious clinical outcomes to include the administration of quality allergy testing, and the formulation and preparation of the allergy treatment regimen
• Proficiently perform allergy skin testing
• Educate patients and advocate for strong compliance throughout the immunotherapy treatment plan
• Explain insurance benefits for allergy testing and treatment, and estimate patients’ out-of-pocket costs
• Monitor test trays and other allergy supplies and order as needed based on projected patient volumes
• Develop and maintain effective, professional relationships with all members of the clinical care team, including but not limited to providers, clinical coordinators, medical office staff, and allergy company personnel
• Promptly respond to provider, medical staff, and patient questions
• Perform any additional related duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are reflective of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.

• LPN or EMT license (or higher) with minimum of 1 year experience in a healthcare clinic required
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills
• Desire to become an expert in both clinical and theoretical aspects of allergy diagnosis and treatment
• Allergy experience preferred but not required, we will train

Job Type:

• Hourly, negotiable schedule
• Rate of pay is determined based on level of licensure and years of experience
• Job requires travel between clinical locations

Work Location:

• Multiple locations, based in Albuquerque, NM

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $28.00 per hour
