Job Summary

This position involves interviewing new patients via phone and in person for clinical appointments for both medical and counseling practitioners in a busy behavioral health practice.

Responsibilities and Duties

This position is primarily phone based with some on site interaction with patients and involves evaluating the needs of the patient and scheduling them with an appropriate provider based on those needs - completion of intake forms, obtaining insurance information, and required medical records. This position is responsible for registering the patient in our electronic health record, entering all pertinent appointment information, and coordinating with the medical and counseling staff for appointment availability.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in the medical field (including nursing) and/or behavioral health field, and must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or nursing with superior communication and clinical skills, a Master's Degree in one of these disciplines is preferred. Graduate students welcome to apply. Familiarity with behavioral health medications, terminology and behavioral health diagnoses required. Must be comfortable working independently and as part of a team. Excellent time management, organizational skills, computer skills, and attention to detail required.
