As our Clinical Nurse Reviewer, you will be responsible for the audits of the medical records for compliance with Medicare/Medicaid/Managed Care regulations and company policies, make recommendations for improvements in medical records, based upon changing regulations. This role is also responsible for keeping current on all regulatory updates and changes, monitoring facility compliance performance regarding clinical, MDS and therapy while acting as a liaison between Home Office and each facility.
Requirements for Consideration include:
- Active RN or LPN license and currently registered in state(s) employed. RN: Graduate of an accredited program of nursing, culminating in a minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree. Valid license in state(s) where services are rendered. LPN: Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Valid Practical Nurse License or equivalent, in the state(s) where services are rendered.
- Minimum of five (5) years clinical experience in a long term care setting.
- Minimum of three (3) years of active Minimal Data Set (MDS) responsibility.
- Knowledge of Prospective Payment System (PPS) and Medicaid reimbursement.
- Knowledgeable in SNF/LTC reimbursement and billing regulation, including but not limited to, RAI guidelines, Case Mix Index (CMI) and state nursing facility documentation guidelines.
- Proficient in ICD-10 Codes
