ROLE OVERVIEW
The role of the Clinical Systems Analyst is integral to the day to day operations of the electronic health record. This position will provide ongoing maintenance and technical support for eCW software. The candidate will work closely with the administrative and clinical teams, as well as software vendors to provide ongoing maintenance and technical support for the application.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Completes checklists for each new eCW user and ensures new users are set up correctly based on their role per HIPAA “minimum” requirements

  • Works with Clinical users including interns and residents for system access, new user set up, new user orientation and training,

  • Works with Department Leaders and Operations Managers to determine level of access needed for users, troubleshooting various issues as they arise

  • Meets with new hires during orientation to walk through real time access of eCW and eCW University,

  • Collaborates closely with the Compliance Officer to ensure the organizational compliance with HIPAA requirements,

  • Builds and modify templates, order sets, alerts, and practice registries

  • Links eCW to the website,

  • Works with vendors to interface eCW with clinic equipment such as Retina screening equipment and other equipment and other systems,

  • Completes mapping in Azara,

  • Integrates Azara Payer Information, FindHelp Integration, VIMs and Care Message

  • Addresses eCW tickets, works closely with eCW on tickets and workflow issues

  • Works with various entities such as DIS, GNOHIE, SureScripts, Quest to ensure proper functionality of eCW and vendor interface

  • Creates training tools for clinical uses,

  • Assist with the build of schedules, templates and order sets, adding new medications, pharmacies and referral facilities,

  • Coordinates and participates in user groups both internal and external, such as LPCA user groups

  • Works with the management of the P2P module, Healow Insights, Healow virtual visits and patient portal

  • Completes system security risk analysis,

  • Works with the Chief Medical Officer and Chief Operating Officer to add and update ICD and CPT codes

  • Responds to user tickets, documents resolutions and recommends process changes that improve system functionality,

  • Maintains high level of contact with IT and works to resolve system issues

  • Assists with the development of policy and procedure related to electronic medical record utilization.

  • Stays current with technology by attending vendor conferences as well as user trainings offered by LPCA, various seminars

  • Assists with other duties as assigned


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports. Associate must remain flexible and available to provide assistance for any/all disaster or emergency situations. Associate will be required to travel to accommodate needs of various sites.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in an office environment. Work may be stressful at times. Contact may involve dealing with angry or upset people. Staff must remain flexible and available to provide staffing assistance for any/all disaster or emergency situations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in information management, computer science of healthcare administration with at least two years experience with electronic medical record functions or a Masters in Public Health, Information Systems, Informatics or equivalent preferred
Basic experience using Microsoft Office, Excel and Power Point required
Ability to think proactively and function independently
Excellent problem solving, analytical and time management skills.
Good listening, flexibility and adaptability skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others in the workplace
Must be detail oriented and able to manage complex projects and multiple tasks
Aim to make technology a better solution for clinical teams
Organize/prioritize tasks and maintain attention to detail
Willingness to update job skills in a changing environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Clinical experience preferred
Healthcare/ medical office experience preferred
