Responsible for assisting licensed nursing personnel in the provision of nursing care. Participates as a member of the health care team under the direction of a licensed nurse as defined by Standards and Authorized Duties for Certified Nursing Assistants in the Nurse Practice Act (ORS 678.150-678.442 {851.062-0010 thru 851.062-00135 June 2010}). Also assists with clerical functions, housekeeping, and patient transportation throughout the hospital. May perform unit clerk responsibilities as assigned.

Education:

• Graduated from an accredited CNA and CNA 2 program

Licensure/Certification:

• Oregon Current Licensure as a CNA: Current CNA 2 certification required.
• BLS certification required

Experience:

• Less than 1 year of CNA II or hospital experience
• EMR Used: EPIC

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
• Ability to work well on multi-disciplinary team
