CNC Electrode Specialist

We are currently seeking a CNC Electrode Specialist with the below qualifications:

Desired Skills and Experience

• Two-year degree in CNC operations or related field
• One to three years of experience in mold-making and CNC machining
• Excellent mechanical abilities and technical aptitude; able to identify and resolve equipment and machining problems to improve speed and efficiency
• Strong blueprint reading skills
• Strong math skills in trigonometry (points on angles), geometry (shapes), and performing math calculations
• Basic proficiency in computer programs such as MS Access, Epicor and MasterCam preferred
• Knowledgeable on how to operate CNC and set up parts in machine
• Communicates effectively with management and employees
• Applies sound judgment and creative problem-solving skills to complex problems and business challenges

Professional Attributes

• Obtain set-up sheets from Programming
• Prioritize work by due dates and project scope and schedule; locate due dates from Access database on a weekly basis
• Set-up and cut electrodes with precision and attention to detail
• Perform inspection for dimension sizes and finishes
• Store completed electrodes in designated cabinet and updated set-up sheets for Sinker EDM operators’ ease of retrieval
• Perform preventive maintenance and minor service on machines
• Set-up SODICK 650Lmachine and robot for second shift and unattended time on a daily basis
• Provide work direction and communication for second shift employees performing electrode work
• Improve Production processes and procedures to directly enhance efficiency, accuracy, quality, and company profits
• Ensure all materials needed are ready, l.e, Poco, Poco mounted, cutters on hand

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
