Construction Safety Manager Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the health and safety plans within the workplace according to all legal guidelines
- Prepare and enforce health and safety policies to establish a strong working culture
- Evaluate practices, procedures, and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law and guidelines
- Conduct training and presentations to all team members for all health/safety matters and accident prevention material
- Perform routine inspections on job sites and develop reports to Management staff to maintain compliance with local OSHA and federal guidelines
- Regularly inspect company equipment and machinery to evaluate possible unsafe situations
- Investigate accidents or incidents, in a timely manner, to discover root cause and handle subsequent worker’s compensation claims
- Recommend solutions and feedback to Management team on issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures
Construction Safety Manager Qualifications:
- BA or BS in Construction Safety is strongly preferred but not required
- Must have 3+ years experience as a Safety Manager within a Construction Company setting
- MUST HAVE ALL SAFETY CERTIFICATIONS
- Work in office and on site
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Having a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
