Construction Safety Manager Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the health and safety plans within the workplace according to all legal guidelines
• Prepare and enforce health and safety policies to establish a strong working culture
• Evaluate practices, procedures, and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law and guidelines
• Conduct training and presentations to all team members for all health/safety matters and accident prevention material
• Perform routine inspections on job sites and develop reports to Management staff to maintain compliance with local OSHA and federal guidelines
• Regularly inspect company equipment and machinery to evaluate possible unsafe situations
• Investigate accidents or incidents, in a timely manner, to discover root cause and handle subsequent worker’s compensation claims
• Recommend solutions and feedback to Management team on issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures

Construction Safety Manager Qualifications:

• BA or BS in Construction Safety is strongly preferred but not required
• Must have 3+ years experience as a Safety Manager within a Construction Company setting
• MUST HAVE ALL SAFETY CERTIFICATIONS
• Work in office and on site
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Having a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
