Biscayne Insurance Group is a privately-owned midsize insurance agency in South Florida. We see an opportunity for the right person to excel at commercial insurance sales in our marketplace. We are seeking a full time Commercial Sales Representative to join our team to expand the company's book of business by selling various types of insurance policies to new and existing clients.

Scope Of Responsibilities

Responsible for acting as primary contact between clients and insurance carriers and retaining clients through good customer service.

General Responsibilities

1. Seek out and solicit new commercial clients who are seeking an agent with the skills and experience outlined below.

2. Act as primary contact between client and insurance carriers and apply knowledge of insurance policies and procedures to provide proper and effective service and responsible advice to all clients.

3. Contact and sometimes visit commercial clients within required time frames to evaluate client needs and make recommendations, present bid results, relate new product information and receive feedback on services.

4. Prepare and provide price quotes for all new and existing clients as needed.

5. Coordinate with the management regarding broker service presentations and fact-finding meetings.

6. Prepare and submit bid specifications to be emailed to carriers.

7. Compare bid results as received and determine recommendations for clients.

8. Process new cases by requesting appropriate documentation from producers or clients as needed.

9. Coordinate enrollment process with producers or clients as needed.

10. Quote, bind and underwrite all renewal applications and new business in a timely and accurate manner.

11. Issue endorsements for all client policy changes.

12. Answer client inquires as needed.

13. Perform new case installation.

14. Prepare all pertinent information, required documentation and correspondence to set up permanent case files and update the computer system.

15. Prepare pre-renewal presentation materials and suggest or offer additional options or policies to clients.

16. Review renewal actions and discuss with carriers, negotiate changes, draft renewal proposals and submit.

17. Schedule and hold renewal meetings with clients.

18. Update principals on renewal results within required time frames.

19. Attend seminars or training programs or other applicable seminars and inform management of knowledge gained.

20. Document all telephone inquiries and pertinent policy information on computer system.

Education/Training Degree: University Degree Required

Experience: Prior insurance experience required

Additional:

· Training/Education opportunities 100%.

· Hybrid work (4 days in the office and 1 day remote with a 220 license)

Pay: Dependent upon professional experience.

Supplemental pay types:

Pay: $1.00 - $2.00 per year
