Commerical Lending Officer
General Summary
This person is responsible for maintaining and growing their book of business. Growth is measured by increase share of wallet and increased number of borrowing members in their book of business. This person must have the ability to work independently, be goal orientated, a self-starter with a focus on sales and providing an excellent member experience. Education requirements include a BS Degree in Business, Economics or Finance, or equivalent financial experience.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
- Directly call on viable leads and clients to discuss prospective opportunities.
- Understand and effectively articulate our products, services, and value propositions.
- SBA Lending experience a plus.
- Networking to build strong center of influences resulting in the generation of lending opportunities that fit the credit union’s growth strategy.
- Managing the relationships with members that are assigned to your book of business resulting in growth in share of wallet and providing excellent member service.
- Maintain professional, prompt, and effective communication throughout the entire loan process with COI’s, applicants, vendors, and colleagues.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Must understand and comply with all required federal and state regulations associated with this position.
- Must be able to speak and understand fluent English.
