The Communications and Organizational Change Management (OCM) Consultant is responsible for leading, developing, and executing communications and OCM activities within the Procurement organization. This individual will be responsible for the development and execution of communications and change management strategies in collaboration with the Procurement Leadership Team. Serves as the point of contact for all Procurement related Communications and OCM activities, developing, maintaining, and implementing communications and OCM plans on high-visibility projects that impact the enterprise.
Responsibilities May Include
Develop and apply a structured methodology to lead communication and change management activities within the Procurement organization and for large scale initiatives that impact the company.
Accountable for the development and execution of OCM deliverables for the Procurement function, such as building actionable and targeted change management plans, analyzing and mapping stakeholders, assessing organizational needs, change impacts and go-live readiness, maintaining a sponsor roadmap, and developing training plans.
Manage, develop, and execute communication deliverables for the Procurement function, such as building and maintaining an annual communications plan, producing and distributing internal and external Procurement communications, creating targeted stakeholder communications for large-scale initiatives, and managing Procurement communications platforms.
Coordinate and oversee execution of all function-wide communications and Change Management plans and activities with input and support from the Procurement Leadership Team and Initiative Owners.
Work directly with management to model and inspire leadership and stakeholder engagement.
Culture Shaping – Build on the foundation of the business goals and organizational culture, source, align, develop, perform, strengthen, and engage business leaders and employees to enhance the employee experience and achieve the desired business performance for the company.
Understand the significance of the changes within the functional areas to provide information and recommendations regarding expected organizational impacts.
Provide expert change management consultation and communications support to key stakeholders to build organizational awareness, alignment and to achieve the targeted change benefits.
Lead communications and tool development planning for procurement processes and systems in alignment with organizational strategy and methodology.
Plan and provide communication and OCM direction, advice, and counsel to Procurement function managers, leaders, and employees.
Build change management competency, capability, and sustainable change management practices within the function.
Support the management of an organization-wide High Performing Organization (HPO) strategy that facilitates the alignment and integration of people, processes and technology; vision and strategy; leadership and workforce; and business goals and culture
Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress
Required Qualifications
Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
Bachelor’s degree
5 or more years of direct organizational effectiveness, strategic planning, communications or change management experience
Knowledge of OCM methodologies and techniques
Demonstrated written communication ability
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Ability to travel, if needed (~10%)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Procurement, Supply Chain or related field
Self-directed; Independent thinker and worker
Demonstrated project management skills; including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments associated with work processes and small to medium projects
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Change Management certification (PROSCI, CCMP, etc.)
Experience with organizational cultural transformation and change efforts
