Position Details

The Community Crisis Stabilization Supervisor (Adult) will manage the Community Crisis Response stabilization program for youth. The Community Crisis Stabilization Supervisor (Adult) will have some level of involvement in the following areas: governance, leadership, community relations, program management, financial management, and personnel management. They will be responsible for supervising Community Crisis Response Specialists (Adult) in the following counties: Scott, Cedar, Jackson, Clinton, and Muscatine Counties. The Community Crisis Stabilization Supervisor (Adult) will serve an on-call supervisor. They are responsible for the program’s goals and measures and will work collectively across the agency to meet outcomes. These responsibilities are carried out under the direction of the Crisis Services Director. This position will need to have a flexible schedule that may include working some nights, weekends, and holidays.


Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree or PhD in Social Work, Counseling or Psychology. LISW, LMHC or equivalent license in State of Iowa. LMSW or Temporary LMHC staff must be engaged in clinical supervision and apply for full licensure and pass the exam within 6 months of completing their clinical supervision. Clinicians who do not complete this step may be terminated.
  • 3 years related management experience, OR equivalent education & related work experience. Experience with mental health services preferred.
  • Valid drivers’ license in good standing and vehicle with appropriate auto insurance required. Must be able to pass the motor vehicle record background check.


Position Specifics

  • Position Hours: Primarily Monday-Friday (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM) some occasional evenings and special events.
  • The position is located in Scott County, IA. May travel to the following counties: Scott, Cedar, Clinton, Muscatine, or Jackson.
  • Full-Time position at an annual salary of $70,000.00/year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Financial

  • Meets or exceeds budgeted financial expectations for the program.
  • Will seek prior approval and work with the direct supervisor for any purchases that need to be made.
  • Submit all receipts within 24 hours of purchase.
  • Provides timesheet documentation for all funding sources related to the position.
  • Attend regularly scheduled budget meetings


Operations

  • Operate from the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS).
  • Coach and guide the program staff to accomplish their work.
  • Inspire the team when they become discouraged.
  • Maintain morale with words and tone when the team hits a rough spot.
  • Will work a flexible schedule in order to be visible to and support Community Crisis Response (youth) program staff as needed.
  • Will assist with on-call supervisor coverage for community and residential stabilization programs as needed
  • Ensure all regulatory standards (e.g. COA, Chapter 24, region, managed care organization, and licensing) pertaining to the program are met and create appropriate systems to maintain compliance.
  • Establish outcomes, program goals and logic models and stakeholder reporting tools in partnership with the Effectiveness and Quality Department.
  • Attend multi-disciplinary meetings as needed.
  • Possess patience, optimism, enthusiasm; some amount of charm and discretion.
  • Ability and willingness to speak up, represent the program positively, advocate diplomatically, tolerate compromise in view of long-term outcomes.
  • Ensure the quality of services at a program level and Eastern Iowa Regional level.
  • Maintain knowledge of all program requirements, mechanisms for data collection and reporting and evaluation process.
  • Track overall service documentation for timeliness and edit for quality. Ensure timely documentation is in compliance with applicable State, Federal, Accreditation, and Family Resources standards.
  • Ensure adequate staffing to meet regulatory requirements, as well as budget expectations.
  • Ensure agency policies, personnel procedures and practices are implemented and followed.
  • Assist the Grants Manager with grants, cultivate funders, and participate in fundraising.
  • Participate in the Family Resources Agency Collaboration Team and All Agency Supervisors meetings and act as an active leader in promoting cross-department collaboration.


Client/External

  • Serves as a public face of the agency by interfacing with regulatory, community and funder leadership.
  • Ensures that communication with outside parties is coordinated and effectively builds positive relationships.
  • Leads staff to ensure that clients have successful outcomes.
  • Ensures measures are in place and followed to enable the agency to measure service outcomes and demonstrate improvement of children and families served.
  • Actively participate as liaison for assigned community, state, and national affiliations.
  • Communicate and act as a liaison for the agency with community systems such as mental health systems, law enforcement, child welfare (DHS/DCFS), government entities, institutes of higher education, etc.
  • Build relationships with community allies; promote the program to funders, units of government and others who interact on behalf of survivors.
  • Other duties as assigned


People

  • Participates in, at minimum, twice monthly individual supervisions with a direct supervisor.
  • Creates positive, inclusive, safe, client-led, and outcome-oriented culture.
  • Serves as a public face of the Agency by interfacing with regulatory, community, and funder leadership.
  • Ensures that communication with outside parties is coordinated and effectively builds positive relationships.
  • Oversees the hiring, development, supervision, and retention of qualified staff.
  • Oversees communication with staff in assigned area of responsibility to ensure that staff understand organizational vision, culture, and strategy.
  • Implements and provides leadership interpretation/guidance for agency policies and procedures.


Must have current proof of car insurance, able to pass a driving background check, and have reliable transportation.
