SEEKING A FULL TIME COMMUNITY ENRICHMENT SPECIALIST FOR EASTER SEALS!

EASTER SEALS ADULT DAY PROGRAMS ARE LOOKING FOR PASSIONATE INDIVIDUALS WHO:

· Enjoy supporting adults with developmental disabilities to be a known and valued member of his/her local community.

· Understand and embrace the core concepts of Person-Centered Thinking, Home and Community based services and the Mission, Vision & Values of the agency.

· Demonstrate sensitivity to the cultural preferences, values and lifestyles of coworkers, individuals and families served.

DAY SHIFTS AVAILABLE! 5 DAYS PER WEEK, 7.5 HOURS PER DAY

$18.00 PER HOUR

Adult day programs are person-centered and designed to establish and maintain integrated community opportunities for the individuals we serve.

As a Community Enrichment Specialist, you will:

· Survey individuals served to assess desires for community involvement and exploration.

· Coordinate integrated community opportunities based on feedback received from individuals served.

· Exemplify outstanding customer service by being immediately accessible to provide community related support to individuals served.

· Build and maintain strong community connections to further grow the accessibility and opportunities provided to individuals.

· Provide Mobility Training to individuals, depending on individualized need, utilizing public transportation, para-transit, Uber, Lyft, Taxi services, etc.

· Required to obtain and retain at least five (5) community volunteer sites, and two (2) potential sites for integrated employment exploration per year.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Associate of Arts degree in a field related to human service, social work, special education, recreational therapy, or business is desired.

· Two (2) years’ experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.

· Prior supervisory experience preferred or demonstrated leadership potential.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
