Responsibilities

  • Supports various community programs and projects
  • Manage community outreach programs effectively and efficiently
  • Facilitating various projects and programs
  • Plans events and arranges presentations as required by local agencies
  • Responsible for using ServSafe food handling guidelines and following USDA guidelines
  • Creates lists of items needed by clients that are not provided by donor community partners
  • Interviews clients, completes client intake, and makes decisions, with authorized parameters, regarding emergency funds for utilities and rental assistance
  • Demonstrates leadership, creativity, teamwork and a basic understanding of differences among cultures.
  • Assists with the recruitment and supervision of caring volunteers to support services as needed.
  • Assists with program events as needed- set up, registrations and health screenings.
  • Assists department as requested
  • Responsible to keep working area organized; and clean including food storage area, refrigerators and freezers. Prioritizes work load, and provides a clean attractive environment that is welcoming to visitors

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in health service provider or community-based health organization
  • AA degree in health related area preferred, or comparable experience in lieu of degree will be accepted
  • Driver License - DRV LIC
  • ServSafe Certification required. ( 90 days to obtain from start date)

Special Skills:

  • Fluent in Spanish/English languages
