Description
- Maintains constant surveillance of patrons in the facility
- Able to act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of emergency
- Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services
- Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintains a high standard of customer service
- Attends mandatory meetings and training sessions as scheduled
- Maintains a clean facility performing house cleaning duties
- All other duties as assigned and appropriate
Qualifications
- 16 years of age or older
- Ability to work independently and possess energy and enthusiasm
- Ability to positively interact with co-workers and the general public
- Punctual, responsible and self-motivated
- Red Cross Lifeguard Certification (required)
Schedule and Location
Shifts vary Monday through Sunday at the New Prague Fitness and Aquatic Center. At this time our biggest need is daytime lifeguards between the hours of 5am and 3pm with additional shifts available evenings and weekends.
Training
Lifeguard and SwimAmerica instructor certification classes are provided at the New Prague Aquatic Center multiple times during the year. Check for upcoming classes. Certification class scholarships are available for current and future FAC staff.
Attendance at monthly staff trainings is required
