Norwalk CT-based agency is seeking caring applicants to work with Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in day/employment and community support (DSO) programs.

Provide support, training, and necessary supervision ( 1:1 or 1:3 ratio) to individuals participating in community activities including job coaching at work site. Actively join in on each activity selected by the program participant (i.e., sporting activities, swimming, and education classes). Support may be provided in a group situation or when assigned, on a one-to-one basis.

Safely drive company vehicle and transport assigned participants to and from community activities and private family homes.

Assist with communication and other personal care needs. CNA's welcome to apply.

Provide instruction to program participants (i.e. utilize systematic instruction techniques, incidental teaching and natural supports). Implement objectives from program and behavior plans, and monitor progress. Utilize Physical Management Techniques when a participant is aggressive or self-injurious.

Maintain all written documentation necessary to meet agency standards and funding guidelines (i.e., program notes, data collection sheets, mileage sheets financial ledger, community support logs, attendance sheets, and program assessment forms).

Hours: Monday through Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm

Agency will provide training - CPR, Med Cert, PMT, etc.
