A DAY IN THE LIFE:

The Compensation Analyst, in partnership with the Sr. Manager, Compensation, will support compensation-related projects or work streams, and review, implement, and administer compensation solutions (programs, processes and tools) in support of providing effective compensation strategies and programs.

YOU’RE AWESOME AT:

  • Completes compensation analysis, evaluation, and recommendations using Tandem’s compensation structure, internal pay equity, and external market data.
  • Administers the pay grade structure; completes market competitive analyses by job family and recommends adjustments as required to remain competitive with the market.
  • Works independently to complete the Company’s participation in compensation surveys to ensure overall competitive positioning.
  • Maximizes use of survey data by exporting quarterly updates and tracking market movement.
  • Completes quarterly minimum pay audit and recommends adjustments where necessary.
  • Advises on matters of FLSA exemption.
  • Reviews existing job descriptions and levels new roles to ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to internal standards. Builds new job families as necessary.
  • Completes monthly audits of job codes and attributes in UKG for data accuracy.
  • Administers the Company’s annual compensation review processes to include:
    • Testing program guidelines
    • Reviewing recommendations for conformance to company guidelines, budgets, and internal consistencies
    • Exports reports and audits for SOX compliance.
  • Collaborates with HR Business Partners to deliver seamless support to the business, ensuring that compensation decisions are aligned with business requirements and pay strategy.
  • Collaborates with HR Technology team to support the job framework and compensation structure in UKG.
  • Develops creative methods for compiling and preparing data for analyses, including but not limited to designing reports and tools to use in compensation related analytics and dashboards.
  • Identifies, recommends, and implements process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Implements, and administers compensation policies and programs.

EXTRA AWESOME:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience.
  • Completed coursework for the Certified Compensation Professional designation.
  • 2+ years’ experience administering compensation programs.
  • 2+ years' in depth experience with Excel, specifically in formulas, pivot tables, and vlookups.
  • 1+ year of experience working with UKG or other HRIS or compensation management software.
  • Knowledge of California and Federal employment laws as they pertain to compensation administration.
  • A positive approach to people and problem solutions along with a strong sense of discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong analytical skills to effectively analyze data and create meaningful, understandable models, reports, metrics, and charts. A high degree of accuracy is essential.
  • Ability to successfully work independently or across teams on multiple projects with overlapping time frames and shifting priorities, strong time management skills.
  • Ability to think proactively, identify problems and solutions, and exhibit a high-level of self-initiative.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

The starting base pay range for this position is $68,000 - $86,000 annually. Base pay will vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and may also fluctuate depending on candidate’s location and the overall job market. In addition to base pay, Tandem offers a competitive compensation package that includes bonus, equity, and a robust benefits package.

Tandem offers health care benefits such as medical, dental, vision, health savings accounts and flexible saving accounts.
