Job Overview:
The Completions Management Systems Administrator supports the development and set-up of the Completions Management System (CMS) Database during the Engineering phase of the project and its implementation at the project jobsite.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Reports to the Completions Manager and performs the following activities on EPC projects:
- Liaise with the Information Management (IM), Information Technology (IT) and Document Control groups for access and validation of the initial set-up of the CMS Database and project specific hierarchy requirements and completion phases on the project
- Liaise with Commissioning and validate the Systemization numbering format meets the requirements of the CMS. Populate the CMS database with the approved systemization
- Liaise with discipline engineers and validate formatting of discipline engineering data meets the requirements of CMS population. Populate the CMS with engineering data
- Update all Completion Forms and Certificates to project specific formatting and liaise with Construction, Quality and Commissioning to validate the content requirements of Completion Forms (check sheets). Allocate the forms to the appropriate tagged asset
- Liaise with the Construction and Commissioning Managers and validate CMS reports meet the overall reporting needs on the project
- Liaise with the Preservation Coordinator and populate the preservation requirements in the CMS database
- Liaise with the Quality, Construction, Commissioning and Owner to determine and assign appropriate access rights to the CMS database
- Liaise with IT for handheld field device and provide training to authorized user personnel.
- Validate, record and report completed Completion Forms in the CMS
- Support coordination of Mechanical Completion (MC) walk down and punch listing activities.
- Validate, record and report status of categorized punch items in the CMS Database
- Validate, record and report preservation activities in the CMS Database
- Validate, record and report Pre-commissioning, Commissioning and Start-Up procedures and vendor reports are completed with required authorized signatures
- Support development, checking and status reporting of electronic or hard copy Turnover Packages
- Liaise with Construction, Quality and Commissioning personnel to resolve all issues associated with Completion Forms and Issues returned by the Client
- Liaise with Client Authorized Personnel to resolve Punch Items and Dossier Comments to achieve Handover of Dossiers
- Issue weekly and monthly Progress Reports to EPC Completions, Construction and Commissioning Managers
Essential Qualifications and Education:
- CMS Database Administrator on at least three (3) major projects in the petrochemical industry.
- Extensive experience in the overall completions processes (e.g., completions database, systemization, system walk downs, punch listing, preservation activities, completion documentation, turnover packages, etc.)
- Effectively communicate with discipline managers, technical engineers and non-engineers.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint (presentation skills), Visio
- Knowledgeable in the requirements for preservation and maintenance activities
- Good organizational skills and adaptable to potential changes in the project
- Proficiency in English
Preferred Qualifications and Education:
- B.S. Degree in Information Technology is a plus but not a requirement
- Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
- Local Area Safety Council Certificate
- Multi-Language Skills
