SUMMARY:

The Compliance Assistant provides support for the Compliance Department including Title 31 testing and processes. Performs all functions in accordance with applicable gaming laws and regulations, as well as the Casino’s established policies.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
The following is a list of the main duties/responsibilities. However, other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by your supervisor/manager.


  • Supporting Compliance Manager and agent; includes performing administrative duties.
  • Distribution of compliance information, maintaining compliance documentation, and ensuring required information is current and reported to appropriate entity as requested.
  • Maintains a professional and welcoming demeanor.
  • This position requires excellent administrative skills, including computer software and typing.
  • Must maintain an understanding of compliance policies related to the gaming industry.
  • Attend regular meetings with the Internal Audit/Compliance Manager to address reported or observed issues or non-compliance of regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Assists in clearing any audit findings reported by the auditors in the annual report.
  • Analyzes information on a routine basis and prepares reports and recommendations as requested by Compliance Manager.
  • Ensure confidential and sensitive issues are handled with discretion in a professional and secure manner
  • Continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Monthly audit reports as outlined by Compliance Manager.
  • Provides support for setting up meetings, which may include coordinating meeting, scheduling conference rooms and obtaining audio/visual equipment
  • Schedules and coordinates necessary employee training, including Title 31 when necessary.
  • Maintains Compliance area including cleanliness and file organization.
  • Assists the Compliance department with other internal communications as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be well organized.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with limited supervision.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or (GED).
  • Previous gaming and/or compliance experience preferred
  • Computer literate, proficient with Microsoft applications

Experience with public speaking or training preferred
