This position is responsible for ensuring the EPIC compliance program effectively prevents, detects, and responds to violations of law, regulations, policies, and industry standards. Enforce standards through well-publicized disciplinary guidelines. Develop, implement, monitor, and ensures refinement Compliance in line with healthcare industry’s leading practices. Connects employees to appropriate resources as needed to complete their work process. Understand EPIC’s activities, billing and coding and Healthcare administration. Improve workplace processes, support to minimize costs, and increase employee retention. Work in a professional and team environment with other departments to ensure timely service for the internal/external clients.
The Compliance Specialist will ensure everyone adheres to legal standards, grant requirements and in-house policies. They perform regular audits of business procedures and processes to ensure this Compliance. Key duties and responsibilities also include:
- Analyze internal business systems to ensure compliance with industry regulations and ethical standards.
- Create, modify, update, and implement the company's policies.
- Develop risk management strategies.
- Design control systems to address cases of violation of internal business policies.
- Designating a compliance committee
- Conducting effective Compliance training and education
- Developing effective/confidential line of communication to report any internal non-compliance
- Liaise with departmental heads to ensure that all business operations are in line with business policies.
- Ensure EPIC is following all applicable State and federal regulations, all DCF, LSF and CARF requirements and stay up to date with all other Grant Requirements.
- Oversee Audits, accreditation, and regulatory standards.
- Ensure record keeping, billing practices and personal patient information remain confidential.
- Process and report Incident reports and Client grievances.
- DCF licensure and IRAS reporting
- DEA registration
Serve as company Compliance Officer. This critical role oversees multiple aspects of compliance management requiring a high-volume of computerized documentation.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, Social Work, Healthcare Administration, or applicable Human Services field.
- Level 2 background screen and a negative drug screen
- Professional References
- Current valid driver’s license in the State of Florida
