S HIFT: Day Shift
SUMMARY:
C onducts compliance related audits and activities as directed by legal counsel, the Compliance Officer, Compliance Committee and Compliance Subcommittees.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Researching industry compliance regulations and policies.
* Evaluating internal operational and procedural compliance.
* Analyzing and updating existing compliance policies and related documentation.
* Keeping up with compliance requirements and amendments to regulations.
* Coordinate and assist with review of compliance with regulations applicable to the health system.
* Perform assigned investigations and compliance projects at the direction of legal counsel or the Compliance Committee while keeping management well apprised of results and completion status.
* Assist in the development and provision of compliance training to employees, medical staff, and independent consultants.
* Coordinate, assist, or conduct compliance audits and investigations including audits designed to review the adequacy of medical record documentation to support claims.
* Conduct audits for inquiries into suspected or reported deviation from compliance program requirements.
* Develop and prepare reports of compliance program activities.
* Assists the Compliance Officer in monitoring organization wide compliance with policies and procedures.
* Understand the legal and ethical issues pertaining to confidentiality.
* Perform other related duties as assigned.

DUCATION:
* Bachelor’s degree in health related field preferred at hire but may be obtained within one year of hire

THER INFORMATION:
* Three (3) years compliance experience in a hospital setting preferred
* Excellent computer skills required
* Proficient with Microsoft Office
