Compliance Testing Operations Supervisor

Summary:
Works with Gilbarco Veeder Root tank monitors, Franklin Fueling Incon tank monitors, leak detector, line and tank testing methods. Provides knowledge and understanding of electronic functionality associated with fueling dispensing equipment both above ground and below ground storage tanks. Serve as a technical resource for technicians with issues in the field to find successful resolution to issues encountered. Proficiency in Microsoft word and Excel.
Responsibilities:
· 40%: Oversee day to day operations and activities of field deployed compliance tank and line testing and inspection personnel. Management: Directly supervise testers. Prepares and provides annual goals and Risk Retention to these employees. Interviews, hires, trains and coaches employees. Reviews and approves weekly timesheets. Approves time off requests.
· 15%: Oversees review of reporting field documentation that will be report to regulatory agencies and/or customer
· 10%: Submitting customer job proposals, invoicing customers, providing superb customer service. % Prepares customer quotes or proposals.
· 10%: Periodically assist field personnel in Compliance testing troubleshooting duties either directly or indirectly oversight remotely; Knowledgeable on the procedural expectation and specifications of a variety of fuel containment test methods, equipment functionality & integrity tests, and leak-detection tests in order to detect leaks or to prevent future leaks due to non-compliance or equipment failure. Ensures all Seneca employees follow site and customer policies and procedures.
· 5%: Oversees testers inventory (equipment/parts/tracking).
· 5%: Ensures site safety, sustainability of the environment, escalating incidents when needed.
· 10%: Must have the ability to travel overnight as necessary.
· 5%: Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
· Education: Requires High school education, or equivalent experience.
· Experience: 2 - 4 years of related experience including but not limited to field experience related to underground storage tank fueling systems including tank top, fittings, i.e. spill buckets, vapor recovery, overfill devices, containment sumps, STP and piping apparatus.
· Licenses/Certifications: Requires OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour certification upon hire or within 12 months of hire. Requires valid driver's license. Preference given to candidates holding current factory certifications (EG: Gilbarco Veeder Root, Franklin Fueling, LOB etc.) Ability to obtain any State Licenses which may be required.
· Technical Abilities: Knowledge of electronic and petroleum equipment repair, testing, products and Microsoft Office. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals to support field personnel under your supervision. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, and other employees of the cross divisional depts in the organization. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. On occasion, able to perform manual labor, and basic administrative tasks using mobile devices.
· Autonomy/Direction: Ability to work independently with little or no direction: Translates managements desired outcomes into workable tasks and executes those tasks at his/her own discretion.
Conditions of Employment:
· Working Hazards: Occasionally works in an environment with potential exposure to fumes, dirt, noise, equipment movement dangers, vibrations, dangerous chemical/solvents, electrical shock, and inclement temperature extremes.
· Physical/Mental Exertion Ability to perform heavy physical labor exerting up to 100 pounds of force on an occasional basis and up to 50 pounds of force on a frequent basis performing such tasks as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping and fingering.
· Tools and Equipment: Ability to perform manual technical, mechanical and service work and equipment operation as described. Knowledge and experience with computer programs (Mobile web-based applications, Basic Microsoft Excel).

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
