Position Description: (General Summary)
Responsible for supporting corporate oversight of all construction activities and initiatives as pertains to renovations and NROs. Manage external relationships with general contractors, architects, and engineers, to ensure projects remain on track. Provide strong communication to internal teams on project status, with the higher objective of enhancing the guest experience, thereby achieving ultimate success for the P.F. Chang's brand.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Site Development
- Partner with real estate to prioritize development opportunities, ensuring the best use of capital (e.g., timing, funding and returns)
- Help to create, manage, and execute the development plan to meet the specific portfolio returns and goals of the development team
- Ensure quality control standards for construction (e.g., cost, timing, site building design layout, specifications)
- Monitor and control the dynamic construction process by strategically coordinating the collaborative efforts of others (e.g., contractors, attorneys, architectural and engineering consultants, government agencies)
- Negotiate terms and conditions of construction agreements
Reinvestment /remodeling
- Provide construction and design recommendations for specific elements of reinvestment plans (e.g., exterior enhancements, OPD optimization, capacity, brand standards)
- Reinforce and support the standards to operating/marketing partners throughout the reinvestment process, to include coordinating the entire construction process (plans, bids, permits, construction, and project closeout)
Miscellaneous
- Support the Construction, Facilities, Real Estate and Legal teams in ensuring resolution of construction related property issues (e.g., common area maintenance, condemnations, excess property, and easements)
- Ensure resolution of physical plant and infrastructure issues
- Provide effective consulting and maintain effective working relationships with regional leadership, internal cross-functional departments, and other key outside partners
- Additional tasks as instructed by Sr. Director, Construction & Development
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 4+ years of experience of managing construction projects
- 2+ years of experience managing budgets
- 2+ years of experience with leading and coordinating vendors and consultants
- 2+ years of experience negotiating and administering contracts
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree and/or Certification in construction management (CCM)
- Land use, zoning, and entitlement experience
Competencies:
- Strong technical, quantitative, and analytical skills, as well as great attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft office software with primary attention to Excel and other spreadsheet applications
- Experience working independently and prioritizing effectively in a complex, ambiguous and fast-paced environment
- Experience leading external resources and contract staff
- Problem solving, ability to troubleshoot complex issues and achieve a solution
- Priority setting, decisiveness, organization, and time-management skills
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed primarily in restaurant and office settings
- Position requires regular standing, sitting, demonstration of manual dexterity, and climbing stairs/ ladders
- Position is full time, with significant team interaction, requiring regular and predictable attendance
- Must be able to communicate with other team members accurately and effectively
- Must be able to travel up to and including 50% of the work schedule
- May be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 50lb)
- May need to be available to support off-site locations during overnight construction

Paid Time Off Program: Full-time Global Support Center team members receive at least 20 days per calendar year for sick and personal time off, based on years of service. The pools of these days off may vary based on states. R&R days are prorated based on date of hire for all new team members.
Paid Holidays: All full-time and part-time Global Support Center team members will be compensated at their regular base pay for eleven (11) company chosen holidays to the extent the holiday falls on your regularly scheduled workday. Additionally, team members are granted an additional two (2) floating holidays to use as they wish (subject to supervisor’s approval).
Lucky Cat Meal Card: We hope you are hungry! All Global Support Center team members are eligible for a Lucky Cat Card that is preloaded with a set dollar amount for each calendar year, and which can be used at any P.F. Chang’s location. Any unused monies are not eligible to be carried over at the end of the year.
Tuition Reimbursement: All full-time Global Support Center team members that have been with PFCB for six months are eligible for the tuition reimbursement program. Upon department head approval, PFCB will reimburse up to $3,000 annually for tuition expenses, books, and miscellaneous course costs for certain classes and/or courses of study at an accredited college or university.
Insurance: Medical/Dental/Vision plan options available; eligibility for coverage begins the 1st of the month following date of hire
