Seeking Health is a health and wellness company that believes in social interaction and personal engagement. Therefore, we embrace the in-person experience, however, we do offer occasional remote days per a structured work from home policy, as approved by your manager.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for editing and writing educational content published to multiple platforms. This may include product information, marketing assets, blogs, newsletters, emails, website content, Amazon content, social media posts, graphics, advertisements, etc.

Role and Responsibilities

Editing Content

• Follows the standards outlined in the Seeking Health Editorial Guide
• Reviews, copyedits, and proofreads content to be publicly published
• Reviews and edits content for Storybrand
• Reviews and edits content for readability (Hemingway)
• Reviews content for Regulatory compliance. Works with the Regulatory Department to make content compliant
• Works in Clearscope to achieve an A grade for SEO optimization
• Reviews content for accuracy, providing corrections and suggestions to improve and align with brand standards
• Provides scientific references and fact-checking for various pieces of content
• Edits audio and video transcripts into publishable blog posts
• Drafts blogs in WordPress

Writing Content

• Writes content, as needed, including content for Retail (laypeople) and Wholesale (healthcare practitioners)
• Writes product-specific content to describe the science behind Seeking Health’s various products
• Follows the writing style outlined in the Seeking Health Writer’s Guide

Optimizing Content

• Ensures all writers follow writing guidelines as described in the Seeking Health Writer’s Guide
• Edits existing pieces of content to optimize for Regulatory compliance, SEO, Storybranding, etc.
• Works with writers to use Clearscope to determine key phrases, SEO, topics of content, etc.
• Coordinates with graphic designers to create needed graphics for blogs, such as cover photos and infographics.

Qualifications, Requirements, and Preferences

• Strong attention to detail required
• 5 years of experience as a content writer, blogger, copywriter, etc. required
• Knowledge of WordPress, basic SEO, and Chicago Manual of Style required
• Experience in developing educational scientific content required
• Proven, solid computer skills required
• Highly motivated, energetic work ethic required
• Functional medicine, dietitian, nutritionist or medical background or experience preferred
• Marketing experience preferred
• Experience in SEO writing preferred
• Industry experience in supplements preferred
• Basic knowledge of genetics preferred
• Knowledge of the information shared in Dr. Ben Lynch’s book “Dirty Genes” preferred
• Knowledge of eCommerce and wellness supplement rules, regulations, policies, and procedures preferred
• Knowledge and understanding of marketing analytics preferred
• Adhere to lifestyle choices that align with the company’s health and wellness culture.
