Indivior is seeking an agile and experienced Contract Specialist/Legal Assistant to support our legal team.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Contract Specialist/Legal assistant will be an integral part of Indivior’s Legal team and will support projects across the team and interact on the team’s behalf with both internal and external stakeholders. This role is a great opportunity for a motivated candidate looking to develop and expand their skill set and to work cross-functionally with IT, the commercial business, and compliance within a values-driven specialty pharmaceutical company.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Organize and maintain files within appropriate document management systems
- Assist with drafting, improvement and updating contract templates and associated legal training
- Assist with the drafting and reviewing basic corporate agreements
- Drafting contract summaries
- Assist with complex litigation, including docket monitoring, file maintenance, and collection and review of electronically-stored information.
- Serve as project manager, facilitate the collection of data and analytics and assist with developing training, playbooks and procedures on a variety of legal operations projects
- Liaise between in-house attorneys and outside counsel, including tracking billing and invoices, budgets and accruals, coordinating e-discovery, and managing legal holds
- Prepare and file legal documents
- Perform research and assist with investigations
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualified candidates will have, at a minimum:
- Proficiency in Windows-based software (MS Office, SharePoint, PowerPoint, etc) and competency in other legal systems such as project management, contract management or litigation support applications
- Ability to understand contract provisions and determine acceptability of counterparty positions consistent with company policy, templates and guidance
- Strong problem solving and organizational skills
- 2 years of legal or other relevant experience required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates with the following additional experience/qualifications are highly desired:
- Knowledge of the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector
- Paralegal certificate
