Cogent has an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated Control Systems Engineer with strong technical, communication and decision-making skills. This is a good fit for an Engineer that wants to be involved in all aspects of a project from conceptual design through system development to final commissioning. This position could work out of our Golden Colorado, Fenton Missouri or Riverside Missouri locations.
Numerous system integration opportunities serving the Industrial, Power & Energy, Manufacturing, Commercial, Water and Wastewater Industries. As Control Systems Engineer you will be a key link in the development and delivery of control systems and technical services to Cogent customers. Responsible for multiple aspects of the design, development, start-up, troubleshooting and service of the various equipment control systems offered by the Cogent family of companies. Successful candidates will have the ability to work both independently and in a team environment to build long term customer relationships.
Position Responsibilities Include:

• System design and development, start up and commissioning
• PLC / HMI / MMI Control System Programming
• Development of SCADA Systems and Communications Networks
• Develop Web Based Interface and Historian Applications
• Instrumentation and Process Control Design and Integration
• Electrical, Motor Controls and Variable Frequency Drives
• Custom Control Panel Design
• Interconnect Drawing Creation
• System Testing, Commissioning, Start Up and Operator Training
• Project Management
• Prepare System Specifications
• Technical Sales Assistance & Scope of Supply Development
