Job Title: Accounting Manager
Classification: Exempt
Reports to: Executive Director
Salary: $70,000 to $85,000 per year DOE
Position Overview
This position plays a key role in producing, overseeing, and analyzing all necessary financial information, taxes and other filing related to the business. Monitoring and analyzing accounting data and producing financial reports and statements. Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
Essential Functions
· Establishes financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information and manage accounting staff
· Support Multi-site/program financial reporting processes including all General Ledger activity and related controls.
· Prepare for annual audit; reconciling accounts and prepare audit work papers being the liaison with external auditors
· Perform daily, weekly, and monthly accounting and financial closing procedures
· Oversee Accounting System records maintenance including account ledgers, chart of accounts, grant codes, report formatting for various departments and segments.
· Overseeing of monthly reconciliations and reporting regarding cash accounts and cash deposits, including general ledger coding and posting activities.
· Provide daily support on financial and accounting matters
· Meets accounting financial objective by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions. Research and provide budget numbers for several accounts for appropriate facilities
· Maintain monthly accruals and balance sheet analysis related to various accounts including fixed assets, pre-paid assets, accrued expenses, accrued payroll and other accounts as needed
· Preparation of monthly financial reports for executive management including the month end closing processes.
· Support Accounts Payable and Receivable functions – including management and reporting of prepaids and accruals.
· Assist with grant reporting and mandatory filings as needed.
· Review and organize new contracts or agreements such as grants and lease agreements, including the tracking of compliance requirements and budgets.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
· Provide administrative support to management when required
· Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
· Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skills
· Provide excellent customer service to clients, vendors, and suppliers
· Perform other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibility
This position will supervisor the Accounting Department
Travel

Education, Experience, Certifications, and Licenses
· Bachelor's degree in accounting or related filed and/or the equivalent of the combine education and experience
· Five (5) to ten (10) years of progressive experience in accounting
· Experience using of GAAP
· Valid Drivers’ License
