Grubbs Café in New York City, NY is seeking for a talented and passionate cook to join our team. As a cook you will have the flexibility to show us your skills and be part on the creation of new plates and recipes accurately and with minimal waste, besides our stablished dishes. Our ideal candidate is attentive, punctual, and hard-working.

Responsibilities

*Cook dishes following our recipes and procedures according to company standards, quality is our only and main goal *Prepare ingredients that are going to be use during shift. *Excellence in food presentation *Set up workstations *Follow health and safety guidelines *Cooks are expected to set up equipment, verify stock, and maintain a clean and sanitary work area following the *Check and prepare and set up for catering orders if is necessary *Prep and organized the kitchen for the next shift

Qualifications

*2+ years of prior professional hot/cold-line experience required *Has knowledge of cooking procedures, safety, and sanitation *Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils *Capable of using knives, slicing equipment and other food preparation equipment *Strong attention to detail *Take complete ownership of their workstation and keep it sanitized and ready for business *Ability to listen and communicate effectively

Applicants must be

• Flexible scheduled, availability for evenings and weekends.
• Capable of carrying 50 pounds
• Able to work extended periods on their feet
• Fully qualified to work in the USA
• Work as part of a team. We treat our staff as family.

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $17.00 - $20.00/hour.
