The community you’ll be caring for:
Clay County has relied on AdventHealth Manchester, formerly Manchester Memorial Hospital, in Kentucky since 1917. Today, our hospital in Clay County serves more than 60,000 patients every year, while staying true to our community-focused, patient-centric model of care.
The role you’ll contribute:
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Nutritional Services, the cook will prepare, season and cook food for hospital patients, staff and visitors.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
- Prepare foods per Dietary Recipes
- Follow patient prescribed diets
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 year cooking experience
- Able to make decisions on their own
- Successful completion of Food Service Training School/Cumberland Valley District Board of Health, within 30 days of hire.
- Previous food experience
- Basic knowledge of equipment
- Able to read and understand recipes
