Description:
  • Plans food preparation by reviewing menus and food production sheets daily
  • Performs all related duties in the assembly/preparation of foods/beverages/patient trays according to nutritional requirements for regular, therapeutic, and other special diet orders
  • Assists with ordering to maintain food inventory; labels/dates food items for storage; considers leftover items/food expiration dates in preparation of menu items
  • Cleans cooking utensils and equipment; maintains the work area in a clean and orderly manner; performs dish room and general cleaning duties
  • Delivers patient trays/nourishments in a timely manner
  • Performs serving line and cashier duties for the dining room; balances/deposits cash
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalency.
  • Food Protection Manager Certificate.
  • Prior related experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; organizational skills required to handle multiple priorities and meet production deadlines

Work is of medium demand. Stands/walks most of the shift; routine lifting requirements up to 50 pounds; sitting, bending and reaching required.
