We are looking for a Coordinator, Social Media to join the Central Marketing department of Macmillan Publishers.
This individual will be responsible for managing Macmillan branded social media accounts including social listening, community management, and content development. In this role, you will bring creative strategies and knowledge of the social landscape to help grow our social media channels and build connections with our communities.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Deploy promotional strategies to maximize brand awareness, build trust, and engage our community of followers on social media including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and TikTok.
- Assist with content development, coordination, planning, and scheduling.
- Partner with internal teams to execute content plans for campaigns and initiatives that focus on corporate updates, employee engagement and events.
- Develop playbooks that showcase social media best practices to expand reach and increase engagement.
- Monitor and moderate real-time social conversation using listening and analytics tools.
- Analyze and report on performance to quantify the effectiveness of campaigns and share learnings.
- Make strategic and tactical recommendations based on trend observations.
- Research new content opportunities and industry trends.
- Stay on top of new tools, platforms, best practices and trends to align social strategy.
Experience and Competencies:
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Passion for engaging and building social communities with diverse audiences.
- Organized, with an innate attention to detail and can execute tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Social measurement experience including use of listening, monitoring and reporting tools.
- Self-starter with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments.
- Strategic thinker with a problem-solving attitude.
- Learns quickly when facing new problems and can adapt to different situations.
- A team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Brings a commitment and enthusiasm to work within a dynamic organization.
Ideal Skills/Knowledge
- Solid understanding of social media and content performance metrics.
- Strong project management skills.
- Knowledge working with industry systems and tools for social media monitoring, publishing, reporting, and social listening (i.e. Sprout, Twitter Analytics, Facebook/Instagram insights, etc.)
- Understands the nuances of which creative formats work across different channels.
- Familiarity with building social media campaigns to engage diverse audiences.
Salary range for this role is: $48K - 52K.
