We are seeking a Copy Editor who is meticulous in reviewing copy and eager to help grow a new agency model. A model that is powered by smarter insights, and puts creativity to work in advertising, and well beyond it - influencing the entire marketing ecosystem. We believe brands should impact more than just comms, and we hope you do too.
Work you'll do
Our future Copy Editor has an attention to detail and helps educate our team members on what it takes to produce well-written and error-free content. This person must show composure under pressure, always be solution-orientated, and function as a collaborative partner to fellow creatives. This person will be responsible for fact-checking statements, correcting typos and grammatical errors, and marking unnecessary or confusing passages for our creative writers.

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado and New York City, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to New York City and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $67,000 to $101,000.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.

Work you'll do

In this role, you will:
- Collaborate to improve the clarity of creative assists. (Social media, web copy, emails, direct mail, marketing collateral and long-form reports)
- Proofread materials for spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax, usage, consistency, and brand voice
- Perform 1:1 proofs from source material or client feedback to ensure all changes were captured
- Manage deadlines for multiple assignments simultaneously
- Create original copy and/or reorganize and rewrite existing copy for special projects as needed
Qualifications:
Required - What you bring
- Proficient in advanced grammar rules.
- 1-3 years of experience with proofreading and knowledge of proofing best practices
- Conversant with established and emerging digital and social platforms
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Fact-checking and research expertise
- Familiarity with the use of style guides
- Ability to juggle multiple projects with minimal supervision while maintaining consistency and quality
- A keen enthusiasm for content should be written across multiple channels with an emphasis on social media, digital media, email and direct mail
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Preferred:
- B.S. in English, Journalism or Communications

- Marketing Technology and Advertising Technology solutions
- Marketing analytics implementation and operations
- Acquisition and engagement campaign ideation, development and execution
- Agile based, design-thinking, user-centric, empirical projects that accelerate results
