Job description
As a Trex Corporate Communications Manager, you’ll be responsible for executing internal and external corporate communications for the organization. You’ll take the lead on content curation, writing, and dissemination of internal messaging across a variety of platforms including an internal newsletter, intranet, special communications, video messages, and managerial talking points.
As a member of our Human Resources team, you’ll be helping us support external talent recruitment messaging and advertising efforts in partnership with the Trex recruiting team. This role works closely with the entire Trex team and must possess strong written and oral communication, organizational, and analytical skills. This is a great opportunity for a self-starter who is looking to help build up an emerging corporate affairs team, identifying critical tasks that need to be done and stepping up to make it happen.
DUTIES
- Help tell the Trex employer story by producing and curating compelling, customized written and visual content for diverse audience sets.
- Maintain and execute an editorial calendar to ensure timely, consistent updates on digital platforms, including social media, web, and email.
- Track communication impact by monitoring feedback, trends and conducting data analysis to identify opportunities and increase engagement. Make recommendations for creative solutions, while balancing the needs of the organization.
- Cultivate strong working relationships with a wide array of stakeholders, effectively balance priorities, and develop sources and stories.
- Help manage ongoing relationships and scopes of work with outside marketing and PR agency partners.
- Assist with inbound marketing and reputation management, and act as an ambassador for Trex and its employment brand.
- Update social media sites as it relates to employment branding (Glassdoor, LinkedIn, Indeed, etc.). This not only includes responses to public feedback, but also regular maintenance of these site pages in accordance with the fully approved content updates.
- Find creative solutions to recruiting challenges to attract talent to the organization while understanding the labor markets and needs of the organization.
- Demonstrate good professional judgement and a strong commitment to accuracy, especially in confidential or challenging situations.
- Stay current on best practices and technologies.
EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in communications, digital media, journalism, marketing or a related field is required along with experience in content marketing, strategic communications, journalism, or corporate communications. If you’ve worked with PR agencies or have experience with HTML, SEO, Adobe Photoshop, SharePoint, or Salesforce you’re Trex material for sure.
