We are seeking a Full-Time Corporate Counsel to join our lean and agile team. This role will work out of our Mesa, Arizona location at 8127 E. Ray Rd, Mesa, AZ 85212.

Key Job Functions

• Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements of varying types (NDAs, vendor contracts, marketing agreements, sponsorship agreements, etc.)
• Provide support with obtaining, maintaining, and coordinating Company’s risk management program
• Ensure business team awareness of and compliance with relevant federal, state and local laws
• Support the continuous improvement and updating of form agreements, legal processes and compliance practices
• Ongoing counseling and efficient implementation of various internal corporate policies, initiatives and programs
• Manage external counsel where appropriate, ensuring compliance with our cost management processes
• Be self-driven and a team player who is always ready to jump as needed
• Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned by your manager as needed to support business demands

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate from an ABA accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in at least one state in the United States, preferably Arizona.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a transactional attorney; in-house counsel experience is a plus.
• In-depth knowledge of commercial contracts, including significant experience reviewing, analyzing, and negotiating various types of contracts from marketing services agreements to supply agreements.
• Basic proficiency with respect to insurance concepts and willingness to support the Company in insurance-related matters
• Ability to communicate with project teams articulately, concisely, and with well-reasoned opinions.
• Ability to communicate complex contractual concepts to ElectraMeccanica team members in a concise, yet thorough, manner.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and diplomatic skills.
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
• Meticulous attention to detail and quality of work product.
• Ability to work independently and determine creative solutions.
• Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
