Corporate Social Responsibility Manager
Work remotely from Idaho
Primary Job Purpose
The Corporate Social Responsibility Manager I is responsible for enhancing the positive image of the company in the communities it serves by strategically managing internal and external corporate philanthropy initiatives. That work includes managing our corporate community partner organization relationships, collaborating with internal colleagues to develop and implement campaigns with a charitable focus, engaging employees in activities such as the Employee Giving Campaign, developing and driving sustainability programs and initiatives and other social responsibility efforts across the enterprise.
General Functions and Outcomes
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for employee engagement in community focused campaigns and events working closely with community partner organizations to drive participation and achieve objectives.
  • Oversee corporate community investment programs for internal and external stakeholders, driving strategic activities that align with the company’s values deliver positive experiences for employees and community partners.
  • Coordinate the annual Employee Giving Campaign and Season of Giving Campaign in designated market(s) leveraging local volunteer committees, partnering with key leaders and sharing and supporting the boarder campaigns across Cambia.
  • Develop engaging and persuasive messaging and materials for internal communication promoting activities and opportunities for employee engagement and participation.
  • Collaborate with Cambia Foundation staff to ensure alignment of activities to maximize support for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct outreach to internal leaders not yet on boards or community non-profits seeking board members to make the appropriate matches.
  • Effectively manage boards matching funds budgets and ensure prompt distribution of fund requests from eligible leaders serving on non-profit boards.
  • Collaborate with Strategic Communications to develop plans that communicate “Cambia’s story” and highlight programs, activities or achievements that bring positive visibility to the company.
  • Develop and maintain a calendar of events and communication tactics/activities as part of event management activities.
  • Serves as content editor and site manager for the Community Investment team’s web content and Spark pages.
  • Develop and maintain tools and mechanisms for tracking community involvement activities and determining the scope and impact of the company’s involvement.
Minimum Requirements
  • Proven experience promoting, influencing and enhancing corporate brand and image across the areas and groups supported.
  • Experience developing and implementing strategic communication and marketing campaigns focused on philanthropic activities.
  • Knowledge of community relations and investment principles and experience educating and promoting social responsibility best practices.
  • Proven event planning and management skills and experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentation and public speaking.
  • Ability to coordinate activities with varying levels of staff and organizational leaders utilizing strong communication and planning skills.
  • Ability to creativity approach challenges and projects to deliver results which delight internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize projects and activities.
Normally to be proficient in the competencies listed above
Corporate Social Responsibility Manager I would have a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Business or other related field plus a minimum of 5-7 years’ experience with event planning and management, volunteer coordination and community outreach and planning or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work Environment
  • Work is performed primarily in an office environment.
  • Travel throughout the region as required.
