Job description
The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is seeking a qualified individual who can perform complex clerical work in a fast-paced environment regarding inmate records.
- Verifies release eligibility in accordance with applicable state statutes, policies, and procedures prior to the offender’s actual release
- Processes release paperwork
- Notifies appropriate authorities with release dates
- Arranges transportation to approved placement
- Coordinates parole hearings and processes paperwork
- Processes Sex Offender Registration and notification forms in cooperation with the Arizona Department of Public Safety and the ADCRR Sex Offender Coordination Unit
- Processes commitment paperwork for the Arizona State Hospital as necessary
- Be available to staff to answer questions regarding inmate records and the application of sentencing and release eligibility
- Reviews, verifies and enters data in the Arizona Correctional Information System (ACIS)
- Corrects inaccurate data to ensure ACIS is able to use the correct methodology for time computation
- Analyzes and interprets court orders, documents, and commitments to ensure legality and accuracy as it pertains to inmate sentencing in order to accept the commitment to the ADCRR
- Processes Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainers and prepares inmates for pick up by ICE
- Drives on State business
- Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment
- Arizona Revised Statutes (ARS) and ADCRR policies and procedures governing releases, detainers, and warrants
- Automated and manual filing systems

Requires possession of, and ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver’s license appropriate to the assignment. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12).
Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation and drug test.

Enrollment eligibility will become effective after 27 weeks of employment.
